![]() ![]() The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action. (see pages 15-32 of Webley Air Pistols by Gordon Bruce). It retains most of its original blue finish with numerous age related marks. It is also stamped ‘Webley Patents’ to the front of both sides of the barrel, and ‘738’ to the front of the barrel. It has ‘’Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham on the left side of the cylinder together with ‘Webley Air Pistol Mark I’ to the opposite side. It has the correct Pre WW2 spring clip barrel catch and piston only accessible from the rear end of the cylinder and walnut grips and brass medallion appearing on the left side only. The pistol is stamped above the left hand grip with batch number "47738". ![]() This is a nice post 1929, Pre WW2 Webley Mark I Air Pistol series 5. The Webley mark I Air Pistol was produced between 19 with refinements being made to the model throughout the production period. 1920’s, Webley Mark 1.177 Calibre Air Pistol. ![]()
